Shirley's Update

That thing flashes, but sometimes it kicks out bacon...
Nothing, just sitting here looking cute. Adopt me.
Just eyeballing the countertops, wasn't actually going there.
Everytime the yellow dog does this she gets a tummy rub, so...

Shirley's very, very affectionate and loving--all she wants out of life is to sit on somebody's lap and be held. Even outside when other dogs are running around chasing the ball and looking for rabbits, Shirley runs up to me and just wants a hug. Her only problem is that she hasn't learned to share attention, and when her turn is over and the other dogs start getting attention, she horns in or growls until everybody else leaves. Right now, she's got to go to a 1-dog home, or to someone with the time and experience to gradually work her into a pack.

Outside she's very energetic and playful, inquisitive and curious. She hasn't earned freedom to run free in the back field yet, but she seems content to be on a lead as long as there's a person around to reassure her that everything's fine.
